Cost-Effective Tips To Make Biz Travellers Happier
Sabre and Egencia have released a white paperdescribing how companies can improve the travel experience for employees who travel frequently.
The paper suggests that even minor adjustments to an existing program can lead to a simplified, cost-effective and satisfying travel experience.
The two companies used data collected from traveller booking behaviour and supplier services to draw their conclusions.
“Historically, as spend increases, companies increase their travel policy constraints. Egencia helps clients drive compliance without mandates, without constraints. We do this by focusing on the business traveller, by offering solutions that guide efficient decisions without sacrificing choice,” said Rob Greyber, president of Egencia.
The four tips are:
Book Early -- Plan travel well in advance to take advantage of early booking deals and lower ticket prices.
Know The Perks -- Include fast-track and seat upgrade fees when negotiating contracts with suppliers. Frequent travellers will appreciate the flexibility and convenience of these incentives.
Minimize Disruptions – Some heavily travelled airports are notorious for delays. Minimize disruptions and lost time by investing in lounge program memberships. Wait time can be spent in a more productive and comfortable setting.
Simplify The Process -- allow business travellers to manage their own bookings. Travel apps can be downloaded from preferred providers or their own travel management companies.
