Maritime Travel's Popular Annual Show Set For This Weekend

Maritime Travel says recent frigid temperatures and a new, larger venue are expected to have more travellers flocking to the agency chain’s annual ‘Vacation Superstore’ to book their winter escape. The event is set for this weekend, 13-14JAN.

Between 3,000 and 4,000 people typically attend the busy event. Maritime says most come to book exclusive travel deals available only during the two days. More than 70 Maritime Travel counsellors with booking terminals will be on the floor to make it happen.

Now in its 25th year, the event is hugely popular with local travellers, and supplier representatives are convinced too.  More than 100 travel representatives are flying in from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Asia, and beyond to promote their destinations and resorts.

“It’s such an exciting atmosphere, and this year we’re at The Cunard Centre for the first time, so we have more space for people to shop the world under one roof,” says Blair Jerrett, Senior Director of Marketing. “The deals are incredible, and the sheer volume of first-hand information on hand is huge.”

For those looking for detailed travel information, or for those who simply like to dream, there are five film presentation rooms with simultaneous sessions throughout both days. 

  • Saturday, January 13 ~ 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Sunday, January 14 ~ 10 am - 5:00 pm
