The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Board election on Tuesday, 26JUN, at 5:00 p.m. at the Corporate Event Centre, 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, Ontario.

This year, TICO members can cast votes for one Retail, Wholesale or Marketing Group position on the TICO Board of Directors.

A Nominations package will be sent to all registrants and it is also available here on TICO’s website. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on 20APR.

TICO reminds those wishing to run for election to allow sufficient time to obtain the required Criminal Record Check, which must be submitted with the Nomination Form by the deadline date. Ballots will then be sent to Member Registrants and the results will be announced at the AGM.

“Industry representation on the Board of Directors remains an important governance role in support of TICO’s vision, mission and mandate,” said Richard Smart, TICO President and CEO.

“I would like to encourage registrants who wish to participate on a dynamic Board to submit nomination forms. Following the passing of the new consumer protection legislation in December 2017, there remains an opportunity to contribute to a new regulation in support of this important legislation.”
