Australis Cruises Honoured By Travel + Leisure Readers

Australis Cruises has been named by Travel + Leisure Magazine readers as one of the top three small-ship ocean cruise lines in that publication’s World’s Best Awards 2018.  This is the third time in three consecutive years that the cruise line has won a top placement in these awards.

Australis, which operates cruises in Southern Patagonia, navigates between Punta Arenas, Chile, and Ushuaia, Argentina in four-night cruises or roundtrip for eight nights.  The ships are built to sail in the narrow fjords and bays of the area. Daily excursions are done in Zodiacs to view wildlife and the exotic scenery in this remote place up close. Shore excursions include witnessing the “calving” of the glaciers and, weather permitting, a visit to mythical Cape Horn.

The cabins on-board the Australis ships are spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows and ensuite bathrooms. Food and wine are among Chile’s finest. All are part of the all-inclusive rate.
