Sinorama Holidays Voluntarily Terminates Ontario Licence

Graeme Peto, Open Jaw

TICO reports that the Markham, Ontario office of Sinorama Holidays Inc. has voluntarily terminated its Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 registration to do business as a travel retailer and wholesaler effective 8AUG.

As reported previously on Open Jaw, the Quebec-based Vacances Sinorama Inc. no longer has a travel agency permit in that province. The company that offered cheap trips to China has been under investigation for mismanagement of client money.

In Ontario, TICO has put together an online guide to assist consumers and travel agents with future Sinorama bookings. While most departures have been cancelled, a few are going ahead. All the information can be found here.
