Attention Canadian Travel Professionals: Your phone is about to get a lot smarter.

Today marks the official launch of Travel News Now (TNN), Canada’s first travel industry news, training, video and information app – with daily content created and sourced exclusively for travel professionals.

Now it doesn’t matter where in the world you are, you can have the latest travel industry news and information in the palm of your hand. And when something big is happening, we’ll make sure you know right away with push notifications.

You can download Open Jaw’s Travel News Now at the Apple Store or Google Play. When you do, you’ll automatically be entered to win an Air Canada Vacations 7-night package to the much-anticipated Excellence Oyster Bay in Jamaica.

“When we launched Open Jaw in 2001, it was the first online trade publication. Many travel agents weren’t even online at the time,” recalls Open Jaw President Nina Slawek. “We also did the first video interviews, first on-demand video training, first live video streaming and more. With so many agents on the move these days, a mobile app was the next logical step.”

The TNN app features the Top 5 news stories of the day, the daily Jawdropper audio podcast, the TV Room with video interviews, extensive training opportunities and more. New interactive content like Open Jaw’s popular Album featuring travel agent events and accomplishments will be released shortly.

“We know that Canadian travel professionals have come to rely on Open Jaw for their daily fix of industry news and information,” says Open Jaw Editor-In-Chief Bruce Parkinson.

“Through our own content as well as a carefully curated selection of the most relevant news for travel professionals from around the world, our mission is to help industry members start their  day with the information they need. With TNN, we can now add updates anytime, so our readers are up to date all the time.”
