Meliá Hotels International has announced that it will be transforming the Meliá Caribe Tropical into two distinct properties: Meliá Punta Cana Beach, an adults-only resort, and Meliá Caribe Beach, a resort for everyone, both opening in DEC 2018.
"By offering two distinct properties with specialized services, we are more able to cater to guests’ needs and enhance their travel experience,” said Alvaro Tejeda, regional VP, The Americas. "Our guests have been requesting more adults-only options, as well as family-friendly amenities, so we are thrilled to be able to fulfill that need and offer a more tailored stay.”
The adults-only Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort will offer The Level, the brand’s signature elevated service concept, providing guests with such services as a VIP lounge for check-in/out, an exclusive pool and restaurant, free Internet access, and more. It consists of 538 rooms, including standard junior suites and 136 The Level suites. There will also be five new restaurants available.
The family-friendly Meliá Caribe Beach Resort will offer a wide array of room options, specifically designed to meet multi-generational needs. The resort will feature 609 rooms, consisting of 154 The Level suites, 123 beachside family rooms, and a mix of 332 premium beachside and deluxe rooms.
Guests of both resorts, ages 18 and older, will be able to enjoy all of the new restaurant concepts, through the introduction of a new “free-flowing” experience, whereby guests can dine at participating restaurants at each property, regardless where they are staying.
In addition to the upcoming changes at Meliá Caribe Tropical, Meliá Hotels International will also debut an all-new luxury property in DEC in the Dominican Republic: The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real.
