Air Canada will introduce new year-round services between Toronto and Vienna starting 29APR, 2019. The daily flights will operate with Air Canada's flagship aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

During the winter season, from NOV through MAR, flights will operate five days a week. This service is offered in partnership with Star Alliance joint venture partner Austrian Airlines, complementing its Montreal-Vienna flights also beginning in APR 2019.

AC has also announced the introduction of new seasonal Montreal-Bordeaux service between 15JUN and 15SEPT, 2019. Flights will operate four days a week with Boeing 737 MAX 8 and are timed to optimize connectivity to Air Canada's North American network.

"We are pleased to launch new non-stop flights from Toronto to Vienna onboard our state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, further expanding Air Canada's reach in Europe,” said Lucie Guillemette, EVP Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada.

“This new service will connect conveniently with our extensive North American network through our Toronto Pearson global hub as well as in Vienna with our Star Alliance partner Austrian Airlines destinations in central and eastern Europe and the Middle East,” Guillemette added.

With regard to BOD, Guillemette says AC is a leading carrier to the region.

"As the only network carrier to offer non-stop transatlantic service to Bordeaux, the addition of a fifth destination in France further enhances Air Canada's competitive position in the French market. Our four weekly flights are the most offered by any airline between Montreal and Bordeaux, providing travellers unique access to the famed wine growing region and the popular Nouvelle-Aquitaine market."
