Visit Florida Launches New E-Learning Program

Bruce Parkinson, Open Jaw

Visit Florida has launched Florida Travel Pro, its newest program for Canadian travel trade professionals. This e-learning platform is designed to help travel professionals nationwide discover the best the state has to offer and sell Florida like a pro.

Florida Travel Pro is a collaborative online learning program covering five main categories, from the basics and the beaches to attractions and nightlife. The modules are designed to be fun and interactive, far from standard textbook exercises, with each taking approximately 12-15 minutes to complete. The website, www.VisitFloridaTravelPro.com, is currently available in five languages, including French Canadian.

To become a Florida Travel Pro, travel agents must complete all five modules designed to improve Florida knowledge and increase confidence in selling the Florida product.

Upon completion of the modules, users will be awarded a personalized VISIT FLORIDA Travel Pro Diploma. Certified Florida Travel Pros will also receive a VISIT FLORIDA luggage tag, insider tips on ‘Things to Do in Florida’ and access to the exclusive Florida Travel Pro toolkit.

Further, Florida Travel Pros will be equipped with the ‘Sales Companion’ mobile app, accessible from everywhere and designed to serve as a resource long after the program has been completed. The goal is to make Florida selling easier by providing quick and easy access to promotional and sales resources via Fast Facts, and Supplier Directory and Discover areas in order to ‘be the expert’ anytime.

Certified Florida Travel Pros will also be the first to receive updated news and information on upcoming events, travel agent seminars and FAM trips.
