Maritime Travel will host its 26th annual Vacation Superstore at Cunard Centre in Halifax this weekend.

When the weather in Canada is messy and the temperatures are frigid, there’s only one thing on everyone’s minds: a vacation! And Maritime Travel’s annual Vacation Superstore is just the place to get one.

This weekend, travellers will have a chance to connect with over 70 Maritime Travel counsellors with booking terminals ready to get their seat to sunnier skies and snag incredible deals available only at this two-day event. Representatives are flying in from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and more to provide details on their cruise lines, destinations and all-inclusive resorts.

Five presentation rooms with simultaneous discovery sessions throughout both days aim to inspire travellers about their next destination and everyone who attends will be entered into a draw for a selection of trip prizes.

The event, now in its 26th year, takes place in Halifax’s Cunard Centre on Saturday, January 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“It’s such an exciting atmosphere.  You can literally shop the entire world under one roof,” says Blair Jerrett, Senior Director of Marketing with Maritime Travel. “The deals on cruises and all-inclusive packages are incredible, and we’ve added new areas for worldwide adventure travel and river cruising – two of the hottest travel trends.”

Last year, the event attracted more than 3,000 potential travellers to the Cunard Centre.
