YYZ Tells U.S.-Bound Travellers To Arrive Three Hours Early

Bruce Parkinson, Open Jaw

The TSA says the partial shutdown of the U.S. government is not causing significant delays in security screening, but a tweet from Pearson International Airport suggests that U.S.-bound pax arrive at least three hours before their flight-time -- even for early morning flights.

The situation is expected to worsen based on the length of the shutdown, which is now 20 days old. For many TSA screeners, Saturday will mark the first missed paycheque of the shutdown, which may cause some workers to call in sick or even begin seeking alternative employment.
