HAL Academy Launches New Specialist Course

Holland America Line (HAL) debuted a new specialist course that focuses on the brand’s Asia cruises. Called “Asia: Ancient, Modern and Miraculous,” the online course has been designed to assist agents increase their cruise sales by giving insider tips and tools around those itineraries.
 
The course takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete and includes information about the advantages of a Holland America Line cruise in the region, along with describing the various itineraries and ports visited. 

“Asia is one of the world’s fastest-growing and lucrative cruising destinations, and we created this course to ensure that travel advisors understand our itineraries and can take advantage of the rewarding opportunities that Asia provides,” said Eva Jenner, vice president of sales for HAL. “All of our courses are designed to help travel advisors sell our cruises with confidence, and the new Asia course is extremely beneficial in broadening travel advisors knowledge and sales skills to this amazing cruise destination.”
 
The Asia course is available on the cruise line’s agent site, GoHAL.com. Through this site, agents who graduate from the HAL Academy core course earn silver level; those who continue on and complete two of the specialist tcourses earn gold, and completing three specialist courses earns platinum. In addition to a diploma, lapel pin and luggage tag, rewards include a US$50 shipboard credit on agent appreciation or full fares and priority boarding.
