Riding on the thrill of its first transatlantic flight aboard the 787-9 Dreamliner between YYC and LGW last night, WestJet continued its new route inaugurations with a first flight between YYC and PDX.
The new service is the WestJet’s first-ever to the west coast city.
"This nonstop flight between Calgary and Portland is the latest example of WestJet's investment in our home in Calgary," said Arved von zur Muehlen, WestJet Chief Commercial Officer. "This new flight provides travellers in Western Canada and Northwestern U.S. more options to get to fantastic destinations for both business and leisure. We are thrilled to be part of strengthening these ties between two important locations."
Codeshare partner Delta also offers travellers from Calgary the opportunity to connect to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Seattle and Salt Lake City International Airport out of Portland.
