Contiki has announced the launch of its new Latin America 2020 program featuring five new trips to Patagonia and Colombia, and 13 improved trips across Latin America.

“At Contiki, we’re constantly challenging and evolving our portfolio of adventures,” said Sheralyn Berry, President of Contiki Canada. “The launch of the 2020 Latin America program showcases our ongoing commitment to bring young clients together and connect them with incredible destinations and epic experiences. Contiki has always been and continues to deliver local, unique and authentic travel experiences.”

The five new Patagonia and Colombia trips will be joining the ranks of 26 existing trips Contiki offers in Latin America, covering Peru (including the Inca Trail), Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, as well as off-the-beaten path destinations like Guatemala and Belize. The new trips include:

  • Patagonia Trail: Crossing from Chile to Argentina, and including activities like horseback riding and hiking, this is a 10-day tour;
  • Hola Colombia: This 18-day trip takes clients to the Caribbean coastlines of Palomino, colonial-era towns, and more;
  • Colombia Quest: This 12-day tour takes clients from the salt cathedral of Zipaquira to the extreme sports capital of San Gil, to hot air ballooning over the ‘coffee zone’ and exploring Bogota;
  • Colombian Coasts & Culture: A tour through Colombia, including national parks, an Afro-Caribbean cooking class and a visit to Medellin;
  • Lost City Trek: On this tour, clients will trek across rivers and alongside waterfalls for five days to the ancient archaeological site of Ciudad Perdida – one of Colombia's most exciting hikes.
