Transat has announced the opening of Marival Armony Luxury Resort & Suites in Riviera Nayarit, on Mexico’s west coast. The Montreal-based travel company owns 50% of what was formerly the Rancho Banderas Resort & Suites.

The resort is located on a 281-metre stretch of white-sand beach in Punta de Mita, about an hour from Puerto Vallarta, where Banderas Bay meets the Pacific Ocean and displays some of the world’s most spectacual sunsets.

The hotel has 268 rooms and one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, each with its own balcony or patio. Transat says this makes for great multi-generational holidays, allowing family members the privacy they need.

Marival Armony offers five bars and five restaurants, with menus that celebrate local flavours. Foodies are the audience for Divum, where perfect wine and food pairings are promised.

With the Marival Kids activities program and kids’ club, it’s all fun and games for children aged 4 to 12, while teens have their own club with table tennis, video games and a billiard table.

‘Family Emotion’ is described as a Marival Armony concierge service that lets families customize their entire holidays with amenities for every occasion, like a complimentary beach kit, video games and sundry snacks and drinks delivered to their room.

Couples seeking some quiet time can check into an exclusive section for adults aged 18 or more. The section even has its own pool.
