Collette Commits To Carbon Neutrality On Explorations Brand

Collette has announced a commitment to ensure that all tours under the Explorations brand will be carbon neutral by 2020.

The global tour operator will take steps to measure its carbon footprint by tracking the various modes of ground and air transportation used, including international flights, measured from Boston, whether or not the guests purchased them through Collette and other daily activities such as hotel stays.

Collette will then invest in environmental projects, such as wind energy farms and reforestation efforts, in order to offset the carbon footprint of the Explorations tours.

"We understand the impact that travel has on global climate change, which is why we;re committed to making our Explorations tours carbon neutral by 2020," said John Sutherland, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. "This is an important step in the right direction towards doing our part as an organization and making our tours more sustainable."
