Holland America Line Academy has a new Specialist Course that focuses on the South America and Antarctica.

Developed to help travel advisors increase their cruise sales by giving insider tips and tools that focus on region-specific itineraries, “South America & Antarctica: From Tango to Glaciers” is now available on GoHAL.com.

The course takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete and teaches advisors about the advantages of a cruise with HAL, as well as how to identify prospects, sell this type of product, and describe the itineraries. The course also shares the top reasons why Holland America Line is unique among premium cruise lines for these itineraries, which advisors can share with their clients to help make the booking.

"Our Holland America Line Academy Specialist Courses are an effective tool to help travel advisors successfully sell our cruises, especially if they've never been to a certain region, which is why we cover all of our global destinations," said Eva Jenner, vice president of sales for HAL. "We have a robust South America and Antarctica program, and it's important for our trade partners to understand these special cruises and what awaits their clients — from the tropics of the Amazon to the glaciers of Antarctica."

Advisors who graduate from the Holland America Line Academy Core Courses earn Silver level; those who continue and complete two of the Specialist Courses earn Gold, and completing three Specialist Courses earns Platinum.

In addition to a diploma, lapel pin and luggage tag, rewards include a US$50 shipboard credit on Travel Advisor Appreciation or full fares and priority boarding.
