Travel from Canada to Brussels, Belgium is getting a boost, with both Air Canada and Brussels Airlines announcing new routes from Toronto and Montreal, respectively.
Air Canada's year-round service between YYZ and BRU starts 1MAY, 2020. Up to five weekly non-stop flights will be operated with AC's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy services.
"We are pleased to launch new non-stop, year-round flights from Toronto to Brussels, complementing our successful Montreal-Brussels service now celebrating its 10th anniversary. This new service will conveniently connect our extensive North American network through our Toronto Pearson global hub directly to Brussels, where our Star Alliance partner Brussels Airlines offers far-reaching connections throughout Europe and Africa," said Mark Galardo, Vice President of Network Planning at Air Canada.
"As the location of the European Union, NATO and numerous corporate headquarters, Brussels is a major global destination. Our new Toronto flights, together with our Montreal service, offer North American business travellers the most convenient links to this important European city."
Flights are timed to connect conveniently with Air Canada's and Brussels Airlines' respective networks at Toronto and Brussels.
The Brussels Airlines route between YUL and BRU launches on 29MAR 2020.
The airline will cease its seasonal flights to and from Toronto, with the final service due to take off on 7JAN, 2020. It said passengers already booked on flights beyond this date would be offered alternative options.
The carrier will offer five flights a week to YUL during the summer season on Monday and Thursday to Sunday.
Flights will be operated an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which includes Brussels Airlines’ new Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
