Emerald Waterways’ brand-new Star-Ship, Emerald Harmony, is ready to welcome her first guests as she prepares to set sail on the Mekong River through Cambodia and Vietnam on 31AUG. To mark the inaugural sailing, the cruise line has released the first images of Emerald Harmony’s interior.
The Emerald Harmony will also become the first Star-Ship to remove all single use plastics. Guests will be provided a complementary metal water bottle to refill from water stations on the ship, and reusable glass water bottles will be provided in the cabins. In addition, recyclable bamboo and paper straws will be used in the Reflections Restaurant and Horizon Bar & Lounge and cabin toiletry miniatures will be replaced with refillable dispensers, making the Harmony the “greenest” ship in the fleet.
Emerald Waterways has announced they are planning to make all their Star-Ships single-use plastic free by the end of 2020.
Guests looking to cruise on this ship can choose from a variety of itineraries. A selection of 13-, 17- and 21-day cruise and land tours combine an 8-day sailing between Siem Reap, Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with overnights in Hanoi, Halong Bay and Hoi An, Vietnam at beginning or end of the cruise.
The Harmony is the second ship from parent company Scenic Group to launch this AUG. The world’s first discovery yacht, Scenic Eclipse, made her maiden voyage earlier last month.
Emerald Waterways is celebrating the launch with a special offer: guests who book before 31DEC, 2019 for departures between JUL 2020 and APR 2021 can save up to $2700 per couple.
