AMResorts' Loyalty Program Sees "Unprecedented" Growth In 2019
Dreams Vista Cancun Resort & Spa, opening 22FEB.
AMResorts, a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, closed 2019 with an "unprecedented" level of growth for its travel agent loyalty program, AMRewards.
More than 45,000 advisors have registered for the program, now in its fifth year, shattering previous participation records with a 3% increase year-over-year in bookings.
Agents also maximized their rewards more than ever before, redeeming 16% more points in 2019 than the previous year. Agents redeemed their points on new promotions, such as discounted points stays and 50% off the booking bonus redemptions.
“In our fifth year, the AMRewards program has developed a loyal following within the travel agent community with the incentives and value of the tools and resources provided,” said Mary Ellen Burke, National Director of Sales, AMResorts.
“After an unprecedented year of growth, we are excited to continue to develop new innovations and build the program to provide the biggest and best benefits for our agents, who work to deliver exquisite experiences for their clients.”
According to AMResorts, "continued upgrades" and "rewarding promotions" helped fuel the program’s expansion through 2019.
To continue to foster growth and the relationship between AMRewards and the travel agents, AMResorts is kicking off 2020 with a new promotion, giving away one stay a month to an agent entering their first booking in the year.
In addition to the properties that opened at the end of 2019, agents will also have the opportunity to use their AMRewards points to visit four new resorts opening in 2020.
Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, a luxurious, family-friendly hotel situated on Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic, is slated to begin welcoming guests in MAR 2020.
Now Natura Riviera Cancun, a family-friendly beachfront property in Mexico's Riviera Maya, will begin welcoming guests in MAR 2020.
Also in MAR 2020, Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa will open, marking AMResorts’ first property in St. Martin as well as the collection’s first resort in the French Caribbean.
Agents will still be able to use their points to further reward their clients. Through the program, agents are able to surprise their guests with extra perks, such as a spa treatment, breakfast in bed, or a romantic dinner for two.
