WestJet is postponing its 2020 Travel Trade Expos that were due to take place in cities across Canada in APR and MAY, according to a communique sent out to travel partners.
"It is with disappointment that we have decided to postpone these events due to the safety implications of COVID-19. We are looking forward to secure new dates for these expos and are currently planning to host them in the fall of 2020 in conjunction with our secondary expos," wrote Charles Crowder, VP – Sales & Distribution with WS.
The shows, which attract hundreds of travel advisors, were set to take place in Ajax (21APR), Mississauga (22APR), Edmonton (27APR), Calgary (28APR), Vancouver (30APR), Halifax (13MAY) and St. John's (14MAY).
More information will be communicated in the coming weeks.
"We are monitoring the situation closely and we will be in touch with new dates as soon as they are secured," wrote Crowder.
