The Saint Lucia Jazz Festival, scheduled for 7-9MAY 2020, has been cancelled over concerns of spreading the novel coronavirus, say The Events Company of Saint Lucia and the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.

The agencies have been in discussion with Saint Lucia's Chief Medical Officer and the Ministry of Health.

"These authorities are concerned about the nation’s ability to handle this crisis if a Festival such as Saint Lucia Jazz were to take place, thereby placing greater demand on our healthcare resources in particular," said the Events Company in a statement.

On 14MAR, Saint Lucia confirmed its second COVID-19 case.
