AC Repatriates 200K Canadians In One Week, More Flights On The Way

Air Canada has transported more than 200,000 Canadians back home in the last week, according to AC President and CEO Calin Rovinescu. The airline plans to operate more than 300 repatriation flights until the end of MAR.

Air Canada will also operate two additional repatriation flights from Morocco, currently scheduled to take place on 23MAR and 25MAR from Casablanca to Montreal aboard a 450-seat wide-body aircraft.

These follow a "successful" special AC flight completed on 21MAR which brought 444 Canadians home from Morocco.

"We are working extremely hard 24/7 to bring thousands of Canadians home safely from around the world and we will continue to do so," said Rovinescu.

"Our priority at this time is to ensure that we can repatriate as many people as possible. Both on our own and with the Government of Canada and foreign authorities, we are working to organize these massively complex operations in the current global crisis. I thank all of those involved for their tireless efforts in coordinating this initiative during these extremely uncertain and difficult times."

A TRAVEL AGENT - March 23, 2020 @ 17:08
Again, AC is not recognizing the value or contribution of their partners! There has been no mention of gratitude to all the agents who are still working to assist travellers in distress nor are they allowing us to book our clients! The flights are all in the AC website but we cannot book them as per the Promo Code required. These are NOT charters but scheduled services designated as extra sections & show in GDS.
To add insult to injury, AC is advising pax to contact their travel agents to arrange for refunds on the original tickets, for which we are assured will have commission recalls, etc.
Any gratitude for our contributions Mr Rovinescu?
