Turismo De Portugal Introduces “Clean & Safe” Certification
Anna Kroupina, Open Jaw
Turismo de Portugal has created a "Clean & Safe" stamp of approval to distinguish tourist establishment that are compliant with hygiene and cleaning requirements for the prevention and control of COVID-19 and other possible infections.
With this measure, the national tourist authority hopes to inform companies in tourism and hospitality of the minimum hygiene requirements and cleaning measures to ensure the safety of these establishments, but to also promote Portugal as a safe destination with measures in place to prevent the spread of the virus, said the Portuguese National Tourist Office in Canada in a statement.
Turismo de Portugal, in coordination with other "competent entities", says it will carry out random audits to participating establishments to ensure that they are following protocols.
