Sunwing, Air Transat Suspend Flights Through End Of JUN

Sunwing Airlines Ltd. and Air Transat are extending the pause in operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic through the end of JUN.

Both operators previously suspended flights until 31MAY, 2020.

Air Transat is suspending flights until 30JUN, 2020.

Affected customers will receive a flight credit valid for 24 months of the original return date.

"This unprecedented situation is well beyond our control; we believe that the 24-month credit is an acceptable solution, and we are confident that our customers will be able to travel again in the near future, once the crisis passes," said Transat on its website.

Sunwing announced yesterday it plans to resume flights on 25JUN, 2020

On its website, Sunwing says customers with departure dates between 17MAR and 25JUN are eligible to receive a Future Travel Credit in the value of the original amount paid. This credit can be redeemed against future travel for departures up to 20JUN, 2022 to anywhere Sunwing Airlines operates.

For travel taking place on 26JUN and later, Sunwing says standard terms and conditions apply for cancellations and changes.
