El Cid Introduces “Always Committed” Health & Safety Program

El Cid Resorts, with properties in Mazatlán, Cancún/Riviera Maya and Cozumel – have created an “Always Committed” Protocol Program in partnership with hotel certification companiesPreveriskandCristal. The initiative aims to preserve the well-being and health of its guests and employees against COVID-19.
Besides implementing more frequent and thorough sanitation procedures in both public and staff areas, as well as enforcing physical distancing measures at all times, El Cid says it is introducing the following protocols:
Hygiene Protocols And Preventive Actions:
All staff wear masks, gloves and, when necessary, protective masks
Guests are required to wear masks at the time of arrival
Anti-bacterial gel dispensers are placed throughout the resort
Guest luggage goes through a sanitation process.
Guest body temperature is checked
Check-in and check-out is done by a single person per family
Rooms are disinfected with "nebulizing equipment"
Unnecessary cushions, pillows, covers and towels are removed from the room
Air conditioning filters are disinfected after guest departure and bactericide is applied to the grilles
Food And Beverage Areas:
Routine disinfection of menus, checkbooks, terminals, pens and phones
Chefs, cooks and other staff wear protective face masks and latex gloves
Fitness Centre & Spa:
Limited number of users in fitness centre areas
For gym use, appointments need to be made and are set for up to a maximum of 90 minutes
Massage areas, temazcal, hydrotherapy area and beauty salon are sanitized according to the protocols of Preverisk and Cristal
There is a period of 40 minutes between each spa appointment to allow for sanitation processes
Kids Club and Teens Club:
Limited number of guests in facilities, as well as the length of stay is established to avoid crowding
Staff will use face masks and latex gloves at all times
Temperature will be taken before entering the facilities
