G Adventures Launches New 2021 Tours For "18-To-Thirtysomethings"

G Adventures says a survey of its consumer base has shown the millennial market will be the first to rebound. Catering to this travel sector, the tour operator has launched eight new trips in 2021 for what it calls "18-to-Thirtysomethings."

According to the G Adventures survey, 57% of respondents aged 18 to 35 said they intend to travel internationally by the middle of 2021 -- that's more than any other demographic. Results are based on 3,572 responses from the G Adventures global consumer panel, of which two thirds are former travellers and 1,202 are from Canada. The survey was conducted from 03-09SEP, 2020. 

Five of the new tours launching are part of the small-group ‘Travel with Confidence Plus’ collection which features additional physical distancing measures, a maximum group size of 12, in addition to the health and safety measures in G Adventures' ‘Travel With Confidence’ policy.

Amanda Dunning, global brand manager for G Adventures, notes that millennial travellers are looking to "retravel" in a way that has a positive impact on the destinations they visit. 

"This pandemic has given us all reason to pause and think about how we can ‘retravel’ better in future. Community tourism that gives back to local people, which G Adventures pioneered 30 years ago, is perfectly positioned to meet this need,” Dunning says.
