WestJet is expanding its pre-flight COVID-19 testing program for Hawaii passengers to Ontario and British Columbia.

Last month, Hawaii announced Canadians who provide a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their flight can avoid the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all passengers arriving on the islands.

The tests, administered by LifeLabs, cost $199 plus tax in Ontario and $250 plus tax in British Columbia.

In Ontario, WestJet passengers can book a COVID-19 test at participating Shoppers Drug Mart locations, while British Columbia passengers can book a test by visiting westjet.com/covidtesting or at the following LifeLabs locations:

WestJet says it will have more information on additional BC testing locations soon.

Last month, WestJet partnered with DynaLIFE to offer pre-departure COVID-19 tests for Albertans travelling to Hawaii for a fee of $150.

The airline is relaunching flights between YVR and Honolulu and Maui on 18DEC, while flights from YYC to Maui start 19DEC and YYC to Honolulu on 20DEC.
