Emerald Cruises has planned special Passion Play river cruise departures aimed at Canadian travellers who are looking to attend the play while further exploring Europe.

These 10-day journeys combine admission to the show and overnight stays in Oberammergau and nearby Munich with an eight-day sailing on one of Emerald Waterway’s 180-passenger ships along the Danube river. Departures are available in May, June, July and September 2022.

The itineraries visit four countries—Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany—with port calls in capital cities Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna as well various small towns and villages.

The Passion Play portion of the journey includes one day admission to the play, a one-night stay in both Munich and Oberammergau with tours of both cities, transfers to or from the airport and ship, and some meals.

Guests who book their Passion play itinerary by 16MAR, 2021, will receive savings of $2,500 per couple with the starting price of $4,820 CAD per person. Additionally, guests who book by 28FEB, 2021, and pay in full 12 months in advance of the departure date will receive a limited-time Super Earlybird savings of an additional 10% off the cruise portion.

All bookings will come with the line’s flexible booking policy that allows guests to defer travel plans and transfer to an alternate departure date or itinerary up to 60 days prior to departure with no Emerald Cruises fees. The Deposit Protection Plan (value $125 per person) is included in all bookings, and allows guests flexibility with their travel dates without having to worry about losing their deposits.

Passion Play goers who want to travel with a group can take advantage of Emerald Cruises Group Value Program. Groups can be as small as 10 guests, and perks of group travel including one tour conductor credit with every nine paying guests and Group Amenity Points (GAP) which is group choice of unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks on-board (not including mini-bar) or $50 on board credit.
