FlightNetwork To Provide White Label Air Product To itravel2000

FlightNetwork and itravel2000 have announced a strategic partnership that will see FlightNetwork provide flight related reservations technology, product and fulfillment services to itravel2000.

FlightNetwork CEO Naman Budheo told Open Jaw that his company will essentially provide white label air product to itravel2000. It will deliver the technology, content and fulfillment for air bookings by itravel2000 agents, as well as through the agency’s website.

Naman compares the arrangement to what Expedia is doing behind the scenes for Travelocity’s flight product – whereby all air offered on Travelocity is provided by Expedia. The new itravel2000 flight offering is scheduled to go live in April 2015.

Budheo says the deal makes sense because air is a very specific product and not easy for specialists in vacation travel and ITCs to provide at reasonable yields.

Commenting on the partnership, itravel2000 CEO Dean Moore stated: “itravel pioneered the on-line travel agency model in Canada and innovation is in our DNA. Recognizing the opportunity to partner with a leader in its field and supplement our other travel product offerings with a best-in-class flight booking experience is a natural step as we continue to provide Canadians the best travel shopping and booking experience possible.”

FlightNetwork says it will seek to partner with additional travel agency clients behind the scenes, providing better yield for the agencies – in addition to itself – now that the white label process has been refined, tested and launched with itravel2000.

The announcement that itravel2000 is creating a separate division they are calling incentriq is not related to the FlightNetwork agreement as such but is a new separate division for itravel created for loyalty programs to fulfill their travel rewards.
