Flight Centre Canada Appoints John Beauvais As New President

Flight Centre has named John Beauvais as the new President for its Canadian business effective 01APR. He replaces Greg Dixon who is moving into the new role of Executive Vice President, Corporate Brand Development for the Americas.

Beauvais and Dixon will report to Flight Centre U.S.A. President Dean Smith who is taking the helm as head of the entire Flight Centre Travel Group operation in the Americas, overseeing a team of 3,650 across Canada and the United States.

Beauvais, formerly President of the corporate brands under the Flight Centre U.S.A. umbrella, is moving north and taking the reins in Canada. In his new role he will be responsible for a team of 1,650 focusing on corporate, leisure and specialty travel.

Beauvais brings 3 decades of travel sales, marketing and executive leadership positions to his new role. In his most recent post he oversaw all aspects, from operations to sales and marketing of the 5 corporate travel brands of Flight Centre U.S.A., which include FCm Travel Solutions; Corporate Traveler; ciEvents; Stage and Screen Travel Services; Travel Associates and the FCm Travel Solutions' partner network of companies in 14 countries across Latin America.

Greg Dixon, who has been President of Flight Centre Canada for the past 8 years, started his career with FCTG in 1988 as a retail travel consultant in Australia.

Both the U.S. and Canada will continue to operate as separate entities, while simultaneously working much closer together to grow our brands and share our successes," said Smith of the new leadership moves.
