ACTA Celebrates Travel Agent Day With New Consumer Website & Contest

ACTA is celebrating Travel Agent Day with the unveiling of a new consumer-facing website

The association says the site is part of its marketing toolkit initiative to promote the value of booking with agents. Content includes advice, travel tips and stories for travellers planning their next vacation.

The site is launching in tandem with a contest titled “Why I Use a Travel Agent,” with prizes provided by WestJet.

To participate, ACTA members must solicit their clients to share their reasons for using an agent and the value their agent has delivered them prior, during or following their travel planning and trip.

Each entry will be eligible to win 2 pairs of air-only tickets anywhere WestJet flies – a pair for the agent and a pair for the client who wrote the testimonial.
