Sunwing Predicts Flood Of Last Minute Bookings

Sunwing Vacations is expecting a rush of last minute bookings to Mexico and the Caribbean due to a combination of unseasonably warm weather in much of Canada and a low dollar that is discouraging trips to the U.S.

"One of the strong advantages of an all-inclusive vacation is that you pay the majority of your costs pre-travel in Canadian dollars so there are no worries about a fluctuating exchange rate that might make you go over budget,” says Sunwing’s President of Tour Operations Andrew Dawson.

“Given the poor snow conditions so far on the east coast for winter sports, and the weakness of the Canadian dollar, last minute bookings for the coming season are likely to be on the rise.".
