Aeromexico and WestJet have signed a code-sharing agreement, the next step in a relationship that began with an interline deal in 2011.

The agreement provides WS pax with new connecting service from its Canadian network to MEX via YUL, YYZ and YVR.  In addition, WS will now sell non-stop flights to and from Mexico City from YUL, YYZ and YVR.

The expanded partnership will give AM customers enhanced connecting service via YUL, YYZ and YVR to more than 10 Canadian destinations including YYC, YEG, YWG, YOW, YHG, YDG and YYT, among others.

Both airlines will also sell tickets for travel on each other's entire network including non-code-sharing flights.

"Our airline is always looking to offer its customers the best connecting service, and this code-sharing agreement with WestJet allows us to include more destinations and flights to and from Canada to different regions of the world," said Anko van der Werff, Aeromexico's Chief Revenue Management Officer.

"We welcome this new, enhanced relationship with Aeromexico," said Chris Avery, WestJet Vice President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development. "Guests of both WestJet and Aeromexico will now have opportunities to explore more destinations than ever before."
