Today marks the launch of 3X-weekly Delta Airlines flights between YYJ and DL’s hub at SEA. The flights are operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest using two-class, 65-seat CRJ-700 jets.
“New flights are important, but new destinations are even more significant,” said Mike Medeiros, Delta’s Vice President, Seattle.
“We look forward to establishing a relationship with our neighbors to the north in Victoria while serving their travel needs with a two-cabin jet aircraft they haven’t yet experienced on this route.”
Steven Larkin, DL’s Director of Sales – Canada, says the flights are a great new option for Vancouver Islanders. “A 30-minute flight opens up a world of possibilities for our Canada customers flying from Victoria to Seattle,” he said.
“This flight makes global business centres more accessible from Victoria through Delta’s hub in Seattle, including eight international destinations in Europe and Asia.”
With the addition of YYJ, DL now operates 81 peak-day flights from 12 cities in Canada. In all, Delta’s customers in Canada have access to 92 daily flights, including 11 additional flights through the codeshare partnership with WS. All DL-operated flights offer Wi-Fi.
