Worldview Travel, which stakes a claim as the 2nd largest Virtuoso agency with over USD500 million in annual sales, has announced 2 recent appointments for the company’s Canadian operations.
Renata Grant has joined Worldview as General Manager of Toronto’s The Travel Network, which was acquired by Worldview in 2013. She will also be responsible for Montreal’s Le Reseau du Voyage.
Grant brings more than 25 years of business experience in luxury travel and marketing in radio and publishing. Most recently, she was President/Owner of 2 luxury-focused Expedia CruiseShipCenters franchises in Toronto.
Worldview President Mike Dawson also announced the appointment of Karen Scott Caplice as Director, Business Development. As part of Worldview’s growth plans, Scott Caplice will be responsible for attracting and engaging experienced, professional Independent Contractors (ICs) in both Canada and the U.S.
Scott Caplice’s multi-faceted experience includes retail counselling, branch management, travel marketing, cruise consulting and sales. Most recently she was Director of Sales for Crystal Cruises and prior to that held the same title at Cruise Strategies.
“As we enter the next phase of Worldview Travel’s growth in North America, we are delighted to bring on both of these talented industry veterans. We are confident that Renata and Karen will each play an important role in our aggressive growth plans in Toronto and across North America,” said Dawson.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have been selected for this role and for the opportunity to lead Worldview Travel’s award-winning Canadian leisure business,” said Grant.
“This is a wonderful time to be joining Worldview,” said Scott Caplice. “I look forward to working with Worldview Travel’s outstanding network of ICs and welcoming new travel professionals to the growing Worldview family. It feels great to be part of such a dynamic team.”
