American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has named Philippe Chérèque as President, effective immediately.
It’s a new position for the company. Chérèque will continue to oversee the commercial and product technology organizations as the organizations’ LON based Chief Commercial & Technology Officer – a position he has held for the past 2 years, and will also assume responsibility for Supplier Relations, Marketing and Consulting.
“Philippe’s new role is part of our larger strategic imperative to restructure our commercial group into regional teams in an effort to better serve our customers,” said Doug Anderson, Chief Executive Officer.
“We are confident that this structure, under Philippe’s proven guidance, will foster a closer working relationship with our customers offering global reach and local expertise. Philippe’s expanded role solidifies our focus on growth and further sets us up to provide the best solutions and technologies, not only for customers and their travellers, but also for supplier partners.”
