Ontario Seeks Stakeholder Feedback For Travel Industry Act Review

The Ontario Government is exploring ways to improve consumer protection for Ontarians when buying travel services in the province.

With a comprehensive review of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05 underway, the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is inviting stakeholders to provide input in support of their review.

An online survey to obtain feedback from both industry and consumers is available to assist the Government with identifying any challenges and opportunities for consumer protection in the travel sector.

This is a great opportunity to provide your feedback and contribute to modernizing the consumer protection legislation, strengthen consumer protection and reduce burden on business,” said Richard Smart, TICO President & CEO. “We also encourage you to share the survey link broadly with your customers, colleagues and friends.”

The online survey will be available to accept feedback until 03DEC.
