WestJet has announced a further capacity boost out of Hamilton’s John C. Munro International Airport for 2017.
The carrier is increasing capacity from YHM by 40% with the return of non-stop service to YEG and YHZ along with a new route to YWG. Four-time weekly service to Edmonton and daily service to Halifax returns 16JAN though 28OCT. Three-time weekly service to Winnipeg, starts will run 17JAN through 26OCT.
"Our loyal guests in Hamilton have long asked for more destination options so we are delighted to bring back our successful Edmonton and Halifax routes as well as new addition, Winnipeg," said Brian Znotins, WestJet Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development.
By January, WestJet will be offering 27 weekly departures to seven non-stop destinations out of YHM. WS announced just last week that it will again connect YHM with YVR in 2017, with 4x-weekly service beginning 30APR, 2017, moving to a daily flight from 28JUN to 7SEPT, and returning to a 4x-weekly sked through 27OCT.
