Hotels on Mexico's Caribbean coast are struggling, with average daily rate falling 7.3% in the second quarter. Revenue per available room plummeted 12.3% and occupancy fell nearly 4 points to 68.2%. The region is home to destinations Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Cozumel.
