D.R. Biggest Victim As Caribbean Hotel Occupancy Skidded In JUN
Caribbean hotels reported occupancy of 61.1% in June versus 65.5% in the same month a year ago. Dogged by negative press, the D.R. saw June occupancy plummet.
The largest decreases were seen in the Dominican Republic, where June occupancy was down 12.2%, to 66.3% and average daily rate was down 23.1%, to $103.31.
