Study: Terms Like "Border Closure" & "Travel Ban" Are Unhelpful In Managing Pandemic
Should borders fully close? How effective is temperature screening? Does quarantining travellers prevent further spread of the virus? These are some of the questions a team of int'l researchers is trying to answer as countries around the world grapple with how to govern travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. What they've found out so far is that language is important and terms like “border closures” and “travel bans” are unhelpful and misleading.
