WTTC Improves Forecast For COVID-19 Impact On Travel & Tourism, But 174 Million Jobs Still At Stake

New figures from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) reveal that despite a slight improvement since JUN, a staggering 174 million Travel & Tourism jobs could be lost in 2020 if barriers to global travel remain in place. While that's a shocking figure, it's actually down from 197 million jobs in the previous forecast. WTTC says this 'positive' gain is driven by the return of domestic travel in countries such as China, which has shown a particularly strong recovery of its domestic market.
