Hello Nick, Boeing’s computerized MCAS system is what caused the death of 300 people aboard Ethiopian Airlines. As a result, Sunwing Airlines and many others around the globe grounded their MAX 8 aircraft as a safety precaution. AC and WS were about to do so when Transport Canada issued the order. The aircraft’s deficiency is being referred to as “Boeing's billion-dollar bungle” by reputable media outlets around the world. Hence, the reference to ‘what Boeing has done”.
Hope this helps explain the formulation of the question.
